I’m the owner and founder of Vanilla and Sprinkles. I’m a mum to 3 wonderful kids — twin boys aged 9 and a little girl aged 6. It’s safe to say they keep me busy! Me and my family moved to the UK from South Africa 7 years ago, and this is when I found my passion for baking and creating delicious cakes that look as amazing as they taste.

I’ve been the designated cake maker for friends and family for years and I’m completely self-taught. I can’t count how many cake decorating videos I’ve watched on YouTube! Now I’m ready to make a career using my skills with a piping bag. While cakes and cupcakes are my speciality, I also love making South African delicacies such as flavoured rusks and koeksisters.

I’m passionate about creating cakes with a difference and love pushing myself with new ideas — whether it’s an unusual flavour or show-stopping design. I’ve had all kinds of requests from parents for children’s birthday cakes (and of course have made them for my own little ones) and love seeing the delight on their faces when it’s revealed. How I work

A few things worth knowing

Everything is bespoke

No fixed catalogue. You bring the occasion, the flavour and a rough idea — even a photo of something you like — and I’ll interpret it in my own style.

Real ingredients

My cakes are made entirely of natural ingredients with no preservatives, which is why they taste the way they do — and why they’re baked fresh for your date.

Allergies & diets

Cakes can be made gluten free, egg free, alcohol free or without nuts by request. Those ingredients are still used in my kitchen, so I can’t guarantee zero traces.

Based in South Leicestershire

I bake from my kitchen in South Leicestershire. Collections are by appointment so we can arrange a time that suits you, and local delivery is available — charged on mileage and time.
